Skate punk is a subgenre ofpunk rock, and is part of the skating subcultures, punk bands such as Buzzcocks, Adolescents, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, and the Descendents paved away for skate pun. Suicidal Tendencies, JFA, and the Big Boys are credited of pioneering the skate punk genre.
