Post punk is a broad type of rock music that derives from the Punk movement of the 1970s. Post punk bands experimented with musical elements including electronic music, disco, funk, dub and add art and politics such as critical theory, modernist art, cinema, and literature. The original post punk bands consist of bands like Siouxsie And The Banshees, Wire,The Talking Heads, Joy Division, and The Cure.
