Night of the Living Dead is the third EP released by The Misfits. It was recorded in June 1979 and released by Plan9 Records on October, 31 at a Halloween show in New York City. The title track is based on the 1968 horror film Night of the Living Dead. An insert contained the first advertisement for the Fiend Club, the Misfits' fan club.

Trivia[]

  • Although there was an action film released in 1969 titled Where Eagles Dare, the song on this EP was not based on it.
  • The song "Rat Fink" is a cover of a song originally by Allan Sherman. It is the only studio recorded cover song released by the Misfits while Glenn Danzig was still a member.
